The 1939 United States Courthouse was built of limestone in a Mediterranean style. It has a barrel tile roof, pink marble stairs, and beautifully ornate iron trim with brass accents. Although a new U.S. Courthouse is located nearby, the grandeur of the 1939 courthouse is unsurpassed. Both buildings are located in the center of the Pensacola historic district.
