Juror Profiling
Attorneys frequently ask jury consultants to prepare profiles
of plaintiff and defense jurors. The only accurate
way to prepare juror profiles is to conduct a Community Attitude
Survey of jury eligible citizens in the trial venue, polling
their opinions about key case issues. A random sample of 400
citizens (minimum) is required to develop profiles of plaintiff
and defense juror types that can be used in jury selection.
Other methods of juror profiling, such as focus groups and
mock trials, are inaccurate and inadequate because the number
of mock jurors is too small to yield valid profiles. Before
you ask a jury consultant to prepare juror profiles, you must
be certain the consultant is using the proper research methodology.
Otherwise, you risk making erroneous decisions about "good"
and "bad" jurors.
Call Magnus for accurate preparation
of juror profiles.
